It can be tempting to just pick up the cheapest furniture you can find on kijiji. It’s affordable — sometimes it’s even free! But if you don’t want your home to look like a mismatched, thrown-together mess, then down throw it together with mismatched furniture. Take the time to save before moving out so that you can think about the furniture and accessories you purchase. Something as small as buying the right accent throw pillow can make all the difference.
Pick a Colour Palette.
One of the most important things you can do to make your home feel more luxurious is to pay attention to details like colour. Choose a colour palette and stick to it. Many apartments are painted white or creamy, so I suggest a palette of cream, white, black, and shades of red or blue. When you keep to a single palette, rooms will come together and look decisive and crafted.
